In partnership with the AFNWA, we are looking to better understand pathways toward co-developed, and sustainable clean water systems in participating First Nations in Atlantic Canada.




[Em]powering Communities: An analysis of Participation, Inclusivity, Equity, and Support for Energy in Halifax


This project will assess Halifax Regional Municipality’s (HRM) flagship renewable energy program, Solar City.




Clean Technologies Research Institute (CTRI)


The CTRI was created in June 2017 to advance clean technologies research at Dalhousie and beyond.




Climate Change and City Branding


2022-Present. Exploring local engagement, climate action and participatory place branding in cities within the UK and Canada.




EnergyREV


2018-2023. UK-based academic consortium aimed at understanding the challenges and opportunities within Smart Local Energy Systems. Supported through the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.




A SHARED Future


2017-Present. Achieving Strength, Health, and Autonomy through Renewable Energy Development for the Future. Funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).




The Community Appropriate Sustainable Energy Security (CASES) Partnership


2021-Present. The CASES Partnership is an initiative involving 15 northern and Indigenous communities and public and private sector project partners from Canada, Alaska, Sweden, and Norway. Funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.
